Just over 3 months to go before we start our 7,5 week road trip from Melbourne, Victoria to Perth, Western Australia. We want you to help us in creating this amazing trip and request you to tell us what we should see and do.
All up we have 52 days time to relax end see and experience the south west corner of Western Australia. Our idea is to get across the Nullarbor in a relative short amount of time. The rest of the time we can use to slowly make our way back home.
We want to see and explore the real Australian nature and therefore we will try to spend as many nights as possible in National Parks. We will be travelling by 4WD with a rooftop tent and are fully self-sufficient and are looking forward to see beautiful spots which are off the beaten track.
For this part we need your help! Please let us know your favourite spots which you have discovered on your travels as a tourist or as a local. Which dirt roads will lead to the most amazing beach you have ever seen or which campsite is worth a visit? We want to know it all; we are also interested in which spots, attractions or campsites to give a miss.
Of course we will visit the major tourist attractions such as:
- Rottnest Island
- Margaret River
- Busselton, with its famous jetty
- Denmark, Green Pools
- Valley of Giants, at the Rainbow Coast
- The Pinnacles (?), we are unsure if we will be travelling above Perth during this trip.
We are really looking forward to this trip, especially since we have not had a break this long for 7 years now. It would be great if you can help us with turning this trip into a once in a lifetime experience, so please hit us with your travel tips and recommendations.
