Earlier in the year, when we were making plans what to do after I had finished up my Masters degree, we decided it was time to take a step back and to travel for as many weeks as possible in our home country Australia. Plans were made for a 7.5 week long road trip to Western Australia.
Storage can be an issue if you travel and in the past we have used plastic tubs to keep all our camping gear, clothes, food and other items organised. But now we are ready to have a storage system in our car! After hours of internet surfing to get ideas we finally came to the conclusion that there was only one option for us, Drifta!
JetBoil Zip is the cheaper sibling out of the Jetboil range and we like to take this stove on our hiking trips.
This stove is not really designed for cooking any meals, it is mainly designed to boil water. And this water boils fast! We tested the cooking times several times and the cooking time is under 3 minutes for 0.8 L of water, 0.8 L is the maximum volume which this cooker will hold.
Just over 3 months to go before we start our 7,5 week road trip from Melbourne, Victoria to Perth, Western Australia. We want you to help us in creating this amazing trip and request you to tell us what we should see and do.
Roof Top Tents (RTT) are often kept on top of vehicles and there is a good reason for doing this. These tents weight usually in access of 40 kg, and you don’t want to lift this on and off the car too often. Our RTT is a beauty, but she is heavy (61 kg) and there is no way we can lift this on top of the canopy of our ute, even if we wanted to.
